Independence Day Speech – 1
Honorable Chief Guest of the day, distinguished guests for the occasion, teachers, parents and all my dear friends wish you very very Happy Independence Day.
As you know all of us have gathered here to celebrate 68th independence day of our nation. This day, after the hosting national flag, we salute and remember the heroic deeds of all freedom fighters. As a citizen of India, I feel so proud to give a speech on Independence Day and share some of my views with you all. On the night of August 14, 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru rose to make a speech on Independence day in New Delhi, When the world sleeps, India will wake to life and freedom. India became free from the British rule. Now, India is the largest democratic country in the world. The country’s strength is to find, Unity in diversity. But, there are stray incidents that test her secularism but the people of India are ready to sacrifice anything for the cause of unity.
My dear friends,We were the privileged lot to have been born in free India. We were able to breathe the fresh free air since our birth. If at all we want to know the pangs of agony of being slaves under a foreign rule, we must ask our elders born before 1947. It was indeed a Himalayan task for every Indian those days to fight against those powerful giants the British rulers. We must not allow those hard times and struggles fade away from our memories.Hence it is befitting for us to celebrate such National festivals and recall those heroic deeds of our National heroes. We remember them today.
Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we will redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again.
Today we remember the great leaders who gave their lives for the nation’s freedom and prosperity. Dr. B.R.Ambedkar gave the longest written constitution to us. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru worked for an Industrialized India. Gandhi ji taught us Ahimsa and Non-violence. Subhash Chandra Bose inducted courage in us. Swami Vivekanand gave us spiritual power. But its not good to remember the heroic deeds of only few main leaders of freedom fight because the freedom fighting was collective effort. Without cooperation, sacrifice and involvement of all Indians it was impossible to get the freedom. So people of India were the real national heroes behind the success. We should express our sincere gratitude to all those who participated in the freedom struggle. This can only be done by defending our freedom like our ancestral property which cannot be valued.
But the questions arises How to defend?
We know that Single person cannot defend it; again group effort is essential, it is nothing but unity.
But again How to form this unity?
We should always remember that only patriotism can form unity irrespective of religion, language, caste, customs and traditions. So having patriotism only can save the freedom of our nation.
To keep faith in secularism
No compromise must be with patriotism,
Punish the forces that support terrorism
Else one bad day we will loose our freedom.
Well at the end we must take an oath that let us do our duty of preparing ourselves to be well-educated citizens of tomorrow. Let us do our duty sincerely and do work hard to achieve a goal. Today we require youngsters with lot of knowledge and energy. Illiteracy is the first enemy for a democratic nation. Let us get rid of illiteracy and take India to a bright future.
Jai Hind Jai Bharat..!!!!
Independence Day Speech – 2
Respected dignitaries and my dear friends,
On this occasion of great pride and honour, that Indian Independence day is for us, I salute the spirit of India and its people. At the glorious mement, we are all Indians, neither Punjabi nor Tamil, not Hindu nor Christian. I hope to continue this spirit for the coming days and for eternity.
My dear friends, this is the day when the Indian Tricolor was gloriously hoisted at all important places back to 68 years. 15 August, 1947 was the day when the country, its youngs, olds, women and each and everyone had sung to the tune of patriotic songs, tributing the heroes of the fight for freedom. Now we cannot fathom the intensity of the sacrifices of those freedom fighters. Ahimsa or the Path of Non-violence which was chosen as the weapon for freedom fighting by Mahatma Gandhi was the key to achieve our freedom from the British-raj. With time perhaps we are tending to forget the importance of Non-violence. Today as a nation we are lacking patience, we succumbe to violence easily and we are the victims of violence and terror. We are forgetting the power of unity. But this an opportunity to pay a tribute to all those freedom fighters and remind ourselves of their sacrifice.
My young friends, you are still like a piece of clean paper. Like in a paper, anything can be written on your minds, anything can impress your minds. But complexity of life in Independent India, has given you the responsibilty to choose what is better for you. So much is happening right in front of you, that hardly anyone can say that children should not know this or that. You have the TV sets at your reach to watch everything good or bad, you have to choose what not watch, you have to pass the piles of garbage, you need to make way for yourself to pass. Crime against children are increasing and you need to take care of yourselves. You don’t deserve these as the citizens of a country which attained it’s Independence long 68 years back. Do you deserve this?
Perhaps this is time for change. And you can become the warrior this time. Please be aware of what is going in on arround you. Try as much as you can to avoid things that has harful effects on the enviorment, on the earth. Be careful and cautious while traveling. learn from your elders how to remain safe while travelling on your own. We want and deserve a terror-free India, where children get every kind of opprtunty to build their lives. Not only you who are at least lucky to be here, there are other children who are worrying about what they would eat tonight. Think of them too, when you encounter one of them stretch your helping hand. You can build the new India. With this I conclude my Independence day speech
Jaihind!
Independence Day Speech – 3
Respected dignitaries on the dais and my dear friends,
Let me at first wish all a Happy Independence Day.
I am extremely honored to stand before you on this special occasion, the day on which we celebrate India’s Independence day. This day is to remember our great leaders for their endless resistance against the foreign powers to give us the freedom that we enjoy today.
We should be really proud to be born in this country, a nation which gave birth to charismatic leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, B R Ambedkar and Subhash Chandra Bose. It’s our duty to pay homage to all those who have laid down their lives to make the country free from foreign dominance.
It was really a struggle some period for our great leaders to unite and to build a base for the development of the country. We might be thankful to a number of leaders, Mahatma Gandhi for his charismatic leadership, Rabindra Nath Tagore for his patriotic songs, B R Ambedkar for a putting a foundation for our constitution. Added to this mesmeric leadership by Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabai Patel helped a lot to unite our country under on flag.
While we look behind all the way through the fruitful years of attaining independence, it’s very significant to know the roots of our achievements in different fields. Our country had made remarkable progress during the last 6 decades in almost all fields which makes us hold our head high. The esteem effort by millions of Indians during these years makes our country, one of the top developing countries in the world. Even though at present we are not to be called as a developed country, I am sure this credit is not too far for us to attain.
Even in the midst of celebrating our Independence day with pride and honour, many things haunt us. Even to be proud of this vast culture and diversity, some times these diversities may be the cause of the imbalance of proper functioning of the country. Unhealthy disputes between states, regional imbalance, and political instability are few internal challenges which have to be tackled on time. The financial and security of the nation which include terrorism and economic crisis makes us think to plan and reinforce monitoring mechanisms to face these challenges.
One the global challenge the world face today is the inhuman acts of the terrorists. Our country also became the victim of several terrorist attacks. But the real intention of these crabby minds proved to be a failure as the people of India stood united to fight against these anti human activities. The determination of the people to stand hand in hand for the security of the country is a good example of how the citizens keep the ‘we feeling’ in minds.
While going through the early period of freedom struggle, it really creates a nostalgic feeling in our minds the commitment and unity shown by the great men. As those people were so ambitious, we too should have a strong heart and committed mind to fulfill the national goals of our country.
So on this very special occasion, I am forwarding a thought before you. Let us unite together for a common goal, to uphold the values and make our country the best in the world.
JAI HIND!!!

Independence Day Speech – 4
Wish everyone a very “Happy Independence Day”
It has been great pleasure for us that we are celebrating our 68th Independence day. August 15, 1947 is the day engraved in the gold in the history of India. It is the day when India attained it’s freedom from the clutches of a long slavery of over 200 years of the British rule. Many freedom fighters and great men laid their life for our beloved motherland. Country produced great leaders like Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr. Rajendra Prashad, Gopal Krishna Gokhle, Lala Lajpat Rai, Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru and Chandra Shekhar Azad.
Struggle for our motherland was such a moving force that it united all the people belonging to different castes, classes and beliefs into a single nation. Even women came out to help men equally. Women like Aruna Asaf Ali, Sarojini Naidu, Vijay Laxmi Pandit, Kamla Nehru , Kasturba Gandhi and Annie Beasant contributes greatly to the success of our freedom movement.
Every year we celebrate Independence Day with full of pride in our heart. On our first Independence Day, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, our first Prime Minister of India, hoisted the National flag, the Tri-colour at the Red Fort. Since then we are hoisting flag in all over India, in schools, banks, offices etc. with full zeal, fervour and great excitement. On this particular day, every particle in the air seems to be charged with love for his motherland. One can see small children carrying small Tri-colours flag in their hands and running with zeal towards their schools early in the morning for flag hoisting ceremony in the schools. Every vehicle, tempo, auto rickshaw, has a Tri-colour flying on a top of it. Song full of patriotism can be heard at every street corners.
I feel very much proud to born on this very day.
“Jai Hind, Jai Bharat”
Independence Day Speech – 5
Respected the great civilians of India,
Today we are celebrating the 68th day of our freedom and 67 th anniversary of independence. I am very happy to give some words about our independence. As you know from 1498 onwards India continuously attacked by foreigners Portuguese, Dutch and last Britain. Now we are standing like as you or me is because of our great ancestors work. They hard worked for the freedom and they gave their life for freedom. Every time we are celebrating this day and always we are remembering a great personalty is our Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi, Nehru, Nethaji, Bhagatsingh, Chandrabose, Asad, Savarkkar etc.like many social leaders give their life for freedom. They got punished and crimsoned but they didn’t failed or not discouraged by these. Just you think if it is in nowadays any one will give their life to our country ? I am sure that no one will ready for it. Not only these people so many people gave their whole life for freedom and they opposed against Britain. Nehru on that day evening in his speech he told that “A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new…India discovers herself again.” Really it was a rebirth for Bharath.
So today we can just think about current situation India, is this is the dreams by that great personalities? now we have over freedom and we started to kill each other. Just imagine about our country. We have our own everything but we are like to use foreign products. Also what respect are giving to our country and we are not aware about our valuable culture source.
I would like to thank you all for giving such a great opportunity for me and it will be the most important day for me. I am stopping my words telling that United we stand , let freedom ring, home of the brave, Our god blessed India. Vandematharam, Jai bharath.
It is my pleasure to address this speech to each and every one of you on this glorious occasion that marks our independence day. It has been 68 years since our independence and we have come a long way. Even after 68 years there are so many beautiful things in our country that we would always cherish as Indians. We still live with the concept of “Unity in diversity” with diverse language, culture and religion. We have about 325 spoken languages and 18 official languages. We live in harmony with over 8 religions and celebrate each others festivals with love. We welcome people from other country with respect and care. We have not forgotten our traditions and values and we never let one another to forget them either. Regarding the positive changes that we have achieved in 68 years; we have emerged as the one of the world’s largest democracy and economy. We have achieved success in green revolution, telecom industry and Space Technology. Now we are an emerging power in IT.
Though it has been many years since our independence, let us not forget to remember the great leaders who fought for our freedom. Most importantly let us remember the way we achieved our freedom. We were the pioneers of non violence freedom movement in the world. Non violence is concept that has been preached in almost all religions, we had implemented the same under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi to attain our freedom. We achieved our freedom assertively without being aggressive. We still stand as one of the great country and mysteries in the world because of our soft yet strong nature, diverse culture and values.
India has been a country that has marked her place in history even thousands of years ago. She has been mentioned and praised in trade journals and historical documents of ancient countries and civilizations. Even some of those civilizations have disappeared but yet India still stands. We might have not be known as India back then, also she was divided and ruled by many kings however she was addressed as a whole as Hindustan. One might commonly conceive the reason for her popularity to be her wealth. But wealth and power alone cannot give eternal glory. People of India not only had wealth they also had good values, open mindedness and welcomed anyone who came in for help. She had such rich culture, knowledge, values and diversity that were awed by others. We were also pioneers in science and research even during ancient times. These attributes encouraged other civilizations to establish relationship with India. I am sure that India is considered as one of the great countries in the world because of her richness in people, culture and values.
We might not be treated well by other countries, but we treat those who come to us with respect. Our neighbors try to encroach into our borders, but we do not do the same to them, however we try to protect ourselves with courage. We are strictly against any type of terrorism and fight against it unlike a few. Some may quote such attributes of our country to be weak, however I can surely tell you these are the attributes that has made us survive thousands of years. India may not be aggressive but she is assertive.
Yes indeed there are some setbacks including as corruption, poverty, ignorance; however one cannot deny that even the most powerful nations have these setbacks. We have the freedom to talk about corruption or anything perhaps, to take steps against the corruption and most importantly freedom of expression. People have the power here. Though India did not have good economic background in the beginning, our current status in global market is appreciated and envied by many. We have also developed in great deal in the areas of science and research. Slowly we are trying eradicating poverty and one of such initiative is self help groups. There are many NGOs that try to provide awareness in various areas. This is indeed a great feat achieved after our independence.
In this day of independence let us remember how India has set an example to entire world by means of assertive freedom struggle. We may not be a wealthy power in the world yet we are recognized as good human beings in a great country . Everything in the world changes but not principles or human values. India is known to be a great country that follows these principles. Let us thank great leaders who fought for our freedom assertively and for setting us an good examples. Let us thank our country for recognizing eminent researchers especially Dr. Abdul Kalam who was even made president of India. Such level of recognition indicates how our country strives growth in all areas most importantly knowledge. Knowledge is always the key for success and growth.
Most importantly let us not fret about the things that we don’t have. Let us strive to make our country a better and safe place by following the values and principles taught by our great leaders. Let us spread awareness, knowledge, values and gain wisdom. Let us make this our Independence Day resolution. If each individual of our country follows these basic principles he would grow, so would his family, his surroundings and eventually it would lead our country to become a great nation. Therefore let us make a promise in this auspicious Independence day and let us make India our motherland shine even brighter into our future. I am so glad to be given the opportunity to address this speech in front of the eminent guests and my fellow citizens on this day of Independence.
Indian Independence Day Speech – 6
Honourable chief guest, respected seniors and my dear friends,
It is a moment of great pleasure and pride for me that I have got an opportunity to speak a few words today, on this occasion of Independence Day. 15th August is the day, we Indians are very proud of. It is this day when we got freedom from the martinet rule of The British East India Company. If today we are breathing in this free air, it is all because of our great freedom fighters who laid their lives for the independence of our country.
India was a land of wealth titled as “Golden Bird”. The British entered India in the name of trading and slowly with their cunning strategies started capturing our country. The policy that they used to break us was “Divide and Rule”. As every one of us is aware, India is a land of diversity and the British took advantage of this. They divided us in the name of region, religion, caste and creed. We like fools got trapped in their plan and lost every bit of our land.
After several years when their atrocities became intolerable some revolutionists like Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Subhas Chandra Bose, Rani Laxmi Bai, Lala Lajpat Rai and many more took the bold step to fight against the British rule. One major thing they did was to make their fellow countrymen aware of the British strategy of trying to divide the country to establish their rule. After a lot of efforts they were successful to unite the Indians to fight back against the British and achieve independence. It is for this independence that these great freedom fighters happily sacrificed their lives.
All the way through these years our country has witnessed several ups and downs. We have seen our country prosper in the field of education, science, technology, infrastructure, agriculture and industrialization. At the same time, we have seen a no. of evil activities like some major terrorist attacks and other political scams which have led us down. But the spirit of our country still remains the same.
Today we are here to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the great heroes and salute the spirit of unity among us. We should always remember that we are one, from Gujrat to Bengal and Kashmir to Kanyakumari. No matter how hard some smart politician try to divide us on language, region etc we should understand that this is only for some of their political advantages and not for the benefit of the country. So on this Independence Day we should take a pledge that we would work for the nation and its unity with our full dedication.
Jai Hind!

Indian Independence Day Speech – 7
Happy 68th Independence Day to everyone!
India is enlightened for its famous traditional culture and knowledge since a decade, that shows us a brighten path every time. Knowledge is based in our tradition, which flows ultimately, rectifying us to a progressive course. But, it is very sad to express that this knowledge was narrowed and wedged to a limit, just like a frog in the well. As per the Indian history, many raja maharajas ruled; some did well and some tortured to our past generation. Then Britons ruled us for more than 100years giving so many pain and sting; which generated a huge gap between slavery and knowledge. It can be stated as, without knowledge there is no existence; only slavery deserves. And where knowledge found, there is the existence, the reality of life, which is freedom or independence. This is why Britons kept us far from knowledge, in the darkness. They blocked all the processes and paths of beliefs and judgments; only trained to follow the orders and preserve their entity and authority. This impacts Indians to join as clerks, police, and army personnel; and at last people thought these are the utmost and bright jobs for them. However, in real life they were fully suppressed with the power of slavery.
Slavery became a tendency among Indians. The Consciousness or tenor of slavery became a scale of consonance or adjustment among people. At that time, in 1789 French revolution created and matured some of the Indians to fight against Britishers to get their freedom. People get aware, tied up the belt for freedom, equality and fraternity. In 1833, Briton government set a law to stop the system of slavery, but it could not make pleasing as the economical, social and political stress was too much vulgar in India and other countries.
In year 1857, people replied with various mechanisms, but the democratic tenor was not matured in their mind. They simply just wants Britons back off from our country. Indian fighters started the battle against Britons; but in counter they got only economical, social and political breakdowns. However, the decision taken by British and 1857 battle keyed-up the people without any sleep and rest. Same time, in 1859, British Bureaucrat, philosopher and economist John Stuwart Mill’s book “On Liberty” did a fame and debate; where he expressed the rights of personal and economical freedom of any person in a state. He also told, every person has the rights over his body and mind.
In this rivalry, few Indians get to know about the spread-up of knowledge and science in other parts of world, and got alerted. Few went to European countries to gain the knowledge and few by staying at India get associated with European popularities. These people later enlighten the path of spirituality and consciousness among people. Such prominent personnel are Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore and Sri Aurobindo. Swami Vivekananda awakened the people with religious thoughts and knowledge based speeches. He travelled around the world by giving religious speeches and at last escorted the Indians to rise against their freedom and independence.
It was the time, when Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore and Sri Aurobindo as prominent people try to uplift and raise the people from the slavery of Britons; but people were mostly affected by the changes occurred in western societies. Meanwhile, some became scholars in this facet and succeed to sustain the self-respect, and existence in creating a nation. The most prominent faces were Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh. Bal Gangadhar Tilak served his total life towards independent and swaraj (self-rule). He always said as, “Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it”. He also believe in work and encourages to every person participating with him as, a country shall be independent when everyone become punctilious and independent.
With this matching convention, Mahatma Gandhi move ahead to kill slavery and gauntness, with the help of his two weapons- truth and non-violence. Truth, the self-sufficient and clean-natured helps to protect ones’ independent. In a vital time, if a person depends upon others, then s/he could not be called as an independent. Gandhi has shown with his work, what he says to others. Spinning wheel with him is the symbol of self-dependent.
Whole total, a number of self-dependent and self-sufficient leaders were born in this country, who eleutheros the people from the British control. India got its independent on 1947; afterwards tour begins towards re-formation of country. However, lack of wisdom tradition has been seen. Society could not come out of seigniorial oppilations and circumvolved in consumer civilization. This is the reason; India could not become absolute country even after a long struggle and political independence. Corruption is now playing a vital role; morality is just in books and stories. People are at fear and terror everywhere; there is no peace and serene in this country.
If we really need and want to create a newly re-formed country, we must arouse the dipped ancient knowledge and tradition in every citizen; which can generate and create a truthful social independent society; and stimulate our conception, behavior and a democratic tenor.
Jai Hind!
Indian Independence Day Speech – 8
Respected dignitaries on the dais, revered teachers and dear students,
Let me begin my speech by saluting our National Flag and remembering the Father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi and all others patriots who struggled and sacrificed for our country’s freedom. Let us also salute all our patriotic people from the Kisan who toils on the soil to keep us free from hunger up to the valiant Jawans protecting our borders. It is the united effort of all Indians which keeps the nation independent, free and democratic and progressing.
India is an example to the world for “Unity in Diversity”. There are many languages, many religions, many types of faiths and rituals, different food habits. But inside we are al Indians. It brings to my mind the famous song:
” Mera jota hai jaapaani, meri pataloon inglishtaani, sar pe laal topi roosi, phir bhi dil hai Hindustaani”
On this Independence Day we should rededicate ourselves for continuing our efforts to keep the nation united, economically prospective, culturally vibrant and an exemplary democratic nation. While many other countries have also become independent during the period as India, it is the pride for our country that we are sill a vibrant democracy with freedom of speech and having an independent judiciary system. This is what we have to cherish and protect.
Our country has progressed and developed much from its poor state at the time of Independence. When we got freedom we were a country of starving millions, with no major productive industry, transport and communication still very primitive stage.
Large section of population was mostly uneducated ill health and mortality rate was high.
Today most of you young students will not believe this, because what you see all around is development and progress. Food grains and vegetables are available in sufficient quantity, a lot of new vehicles speeding on roads, mobile phones, laptops and computers everywhere. Unemployment is not talked about. India had sent its man to space; its team is working in Antartica. Our scientists and technologists are well respected in world; we are successfully launching satellites, sent mission to Moon.
But dear students, this is not the work of one day, but it is the net result of the collective planning, policy and foresight of our various leaders and visionaries of all these years and the dedicated hard work of the millions of sons and daughters of Mother India.
But dear students, there is no room for us to sit complacently. More works are remaining. Though the entire world is now seeing India as its destination, when the giant economies like US, Germany and other European nations show signs of failure. It is irony that some parts of our country need roads, electricity, education, and good food and health facilities.
I remind you the famous Independence Day speech on August 15 1947 by our first Prime Minister Sri Jawaharlal Nehru. In that speech he said that we have “made a tryst with destiny….. We step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance…. We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again.”
Dear students, some of the ill fortunes other than freedom are still there, and hence we have to rededicate ourselves for nation building still. There are signs of some external threats and internal extremism. We have to be vigilant against all this and keep the nation safe and united.
Action, more and more dedicated action is what is needed. Speech is good for inspiration. But action is needed to bring in development and progress. Let us act to make our national flag fluttering high at all times.
Jhanda Ooncha rahe hamaara, vijayi vishw tiranga pyara.
Indian Independence Day Speech – 9
Respected….
We are gathered here to commemorate the day when our late Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru hoisted the Indian Tricolour for the first time on the free soil of India, to fly gracefully forever in the free sky of independent India.
It was on 15th August 1947 when India became independent from the tyrant rule of the British with the religious efforts of our freedom fighters. In the span of 68 years India has seen lot of development in the field of science, technology, education, agriculture, and infrastructure. But this development has to keep on going and we should pledge to help India regain its lost pride when it was titled as Golden Bird.
The British cunningly took over our country with the pretext of trading with India, this shows that we have the values of generosity and respect for others. This plot of British was not understood by us and we slowly fell at the cunning hands of the British. The atrocities of the British were increasing daily. The final nail in the coffin was the massacre at the Jallianwala Bagh. The people had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh to celebrate Baisakhi on 13th April 1919. Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer ordered firing on the armless people including men, women and children who had gathered there. Can you just imagine that a land of about 7 acres throng with people who were busy celebrating the festival, when suddenly they were fired upon to the number of 1,650 rounds of ammunition for about 10 minutes. The main entrance of the place was blocked by army and the people could not run from the small exits which allowed only one person at a time. But the people who loved India took revenge of this massacre and it was Udham Singh who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer on 13th March 1940 as he was the witness of that masscare. Michael O’Dwyer was the British Lieutenant-Governor of Punjab at the time of the massacre, and the major supporter of General Dyer’s action at Jallianwala Bagh.
My friends we are happy that we are breathing in the free air of independent India but for this we should always pay respect to Mahatma Gandhi, Moulana Azad, Khan Abdul Gahffar Khan alias Sarhadi Gandhi, Bamkim Chander Chatterji, Sarojani Naidu, Sardar Patel, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, etc being the moderate. The freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Raj Guru, etc were the one who kissed the noose in love for the motherland. Chandershakar Azad, S C Bose, Rani Laxmi Bai, Lokmanya Tilak, etc being the ones who have been killed at the hands of British.
We have been given a country which is rich in culture, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Parsis are having Unity in Diversity and has made India a role model for other nations. Keeping in mind the cultural diversities the constitution of India was drafter by B. R Ambedkar, which is a perfect bible for ruling a country which is rich in cultural values.
The freedom fighters of India and the initial politicians have done all and now it is our turn to make this country proud of its citizens.
On the celebrations of the 68th Independence Day we should vow to eradicate the evils of the British which they have left in here. The first being Divide and rule, this is the most drastic tool used by the British to rule India and we have to get rid of this. The next is telling lies. We should be honest in work and speech both for the betterment of India. We should not follow the British who use to hang freedom fighters after pronouncing them guilty dishonestly in the courts. Misuse of power: it is another evil that the British used of which Jallianwala Bagh is a living example. We should used power to make India flourish and remain at peace forever.
It is not much difficult to regain the lost valor and pride, but we just have to think about it positively. When Pandit Nehru took the reigns of India there was not much to see but there was much to be foreseen and there was huge to be done. The honest working by our parents has given us this day and we should be proud of our parents and the India of which we are a part.
On India one can speak a lot and number of speeches cannot express the houour of India. Therefore in the end, I congratulate you all to be a part of this honourable gathering on the occasion of 68 Independence Day celebration.
Jai Hind!
Indian Independence Day Speech – 10
Honorable Chief Guest of the day, distinguished guests for the occasion, teachers, parents and all my dear friends wish you very very Happy Independence Day.
As you know all of us have gathered here to celebrate 67th independence day of our nation.
